The article examines the phenomenon of housing precarity within the framework of institutional discourses, focusing on the significance of state and legal discourses that are closely linked to the housing sector, as well as the role of institutional mechanisms in the creation and perpetuation of housing precarity. The latter is viewed as a consequence of the insufficiency or misalignment of these mechanisms with societal needs, leading to legal uncertainty and socio-economic vulnerability. The author draws on the experience of foreign researchers from European countries to highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach to studying housing precarity.
